Watch Your Email for Your Practice Better Invitation
Check your email for an invitation to join me on Practice Better. This is my secure client portal platform that you will be using to access the tools and resources to get the most from your breastfeeding experience.
If you do not see this email within 2-3 hours of booking please check your spam folder. If you still don’t find it contact me by phone or email.
This portal gives you access to your booking links, the chat you will use to contact me, and allows me to share any additional information needed from you to get the most from your service.

Your Intake Forms are in your Client Portal
Virtual Care requires more detailed questionnaires, photos and videos that are done prior to your session and uploaded into your intake forms. All of your intake forms are in Practice Better, but some may have links to forms in IntakeQ or Google Forms depending on the information we are gathering. These are all secure platforms that protect the information and images you upload.
Intake forms can take some time to fill out so don’t wait until the last minute. You don’t want to rush through your forms and risk not getting the best outcomes. Each service has different timelines to turn in forms, but all require completed forms PRIOR to your reserved time.

Nipple Rulers
All flange sizing is done by measuring your nipples with specified rulers prior to your session and taking requested photos and videos.
Your best option will be to print the rulers available for free download on the Genuine Lactation website.
Alternatively you can use calipers or a plastic circular ruler that measures in millimeters. See your intake form for links and more information.
If you wish to not have to purchase or print anything we have an option to measure you exactly using comparative measurements with a coin for an additional charge. More information will be included on your sizing forms.
Be sure to Check the Type of Session You Booked
Genuine Lactation offers a variety of services from non-live sizings to full virtual breastfeeding consultations. If you think you booked the wrong service, contact me in your Client Portal ASAP to help discuss options to get you set up for the right service.
If you booked a non-live sizing, or you have a non-live session recheck, please be sure you turn in the paperwork by the session “time” for review, but you do not need to be in your portal to chat at that time.
How to Get in Contact with Me
Use your Client Portal for any and all messages. The Client Portal is HIPAA compliant and there to protect you and your information.
Do not use Facebook.
Do not use Facebook Groups.
Do not use Instagram.
Do not “REPLY” to the email from Practice Better. It will go to my Spam Folder.
Insurance Reimbursement
Genuine Lactation is fully self-pay and requires payment at the time of service. Many of your breastfeeding support services may be reimburseable by your insurance company. I highly recommend contacting your insurance company to determine if your service may be eligible for reimbursement.
If you wish to submit for reimbursement you will need a Superbill, which is a fancy receipt for health insurance companies. All you have to do is let me know you need it so I can have it sent to you!
